A RAPIST has been locked behind bars and placed on the sex offenders' register for life.
Guiseppe Greco, 35, of Stafford Avenue, Slough, was found guilty by a unanimous jury verdict of two counts of rape following an eight-day trial at Reading Crown Court, which concluded on Wednesday, May 1.
Between November 2020 and July 2021, Greco raped a woman at a property in Slough.
Greco was arrested on March 23, 2022, and following an investigation, was charged on March 15, last year.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Lynda Stearman, of Milton Keynes CID, said: “I am glad that Guiseppe Greco has been convicted of two counts of rape.
“This sort of crime will not be tolerated by police and although this investigation took a number of years to complete, I hope that the outcome will serve as a warning that we will tirelessly pursue sexual predators such as Greco and bring them to justice.
“I would like to praise the enormous courage of the victim in this case, who put her trust in us to bring Greco to justice.”
Greco was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment.
He has also been placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely and a lifelong restraining order has been imposed
