Two restaurants have been slammed with poor hygiene ratings in the latest Food Standards Agency inspections.
Both Veggie Master in Slough and Sizzler in Maidenhead failed to meet the expectations of the food hygiene watchdog.
A rating from zero to five is given to each establishment which is inspected and offers a "snapshots" of the hygiene at an eating establishment.
The rating is given by the council who send inspectors unannounced to assess and rate the safety of the business.
They will look at the handling of food, how it is stored and prepared, the cleanliness of the facility and how it is managed.
Businesses with low ratings will be told to make improvements, with a timescale given to them by the inspector.
Veggie Master on Slough High Street was given a one-out-of-five rating after an inspection on February 28.
Their food handling was found to be 'generally satisfactory' but the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and buildings needed improvement.
Meanwhile 'major improvement' was needed for the management of the food safety. This includes systems and checks that should be in place to make sure the food sold or served is safe to eat.
Sizzler, on Queen Street in Maidenhead has also been slammed with the one-out-of-five rating.
They were also found to have issues with cleanliness and food safety management.
Veggie Master and Sizzler have been approached for comment.
