A popular jewellery shop has packed up and left Slough's Queensmere Shopping Centre.
Ernest Jones has closed their shop, which was on the corner of the western side of the shopping centre, opposite the closed-off section.
The jeweller had a big presence in the area up until a few years ago, with its Maidenhead store closing in 2019 and the Windsor store in 2022.
A spokesperson for Ernest Jones said: "Our stores remain central to our long-term growth strategy, and we continue to invest in them, ensuring they are in locations where they best serve our customers, keeping in step with their demands, including the many customers who start their shopping journey online.
"Closing a store is never a decision we take lightly and so we’re sorry to be leaving Queensmere Shopping Centre. Our online store (www.ernestjones.co.uk) is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for customers to shop and book appointments with our virtual store teams to view products, receive advice, ask questions and place orders."
It comes at a turbulent time for the shopping centre, with work on knocking down and redeveloping the area expected to be underway.
However, the redevelopment has been at a standstill since the shopping centre's partial closure in January 2023.
Recently Slough Borough Council confirmed the developer is seeking central government support with the project.
