A popular ice cream brand, loved by many and available in thousands of supermarkets up and down the country, has brought their flavours to a parlour in Windsor.
Ben and Jerry’s have opened up their ice cream shop on Peascod Street, wowing crowds with 12 available flavours in store.
Assistant Store manager Conor Waterman said: “It has been quite busy and the shop is getting a nice receptiom.”
The shop offers cones, sundaes, shakes and dough chunks.
Just days after opening on Thursday, April 12, Ben and Jerry’s had their ‘national cone day’ which saw hundreds lining up down the street for a chance at getting free ice cream.
“It was manic,” added Conor.
Conor has lived in Windsor all his life and was glad to see the ice cream brand return to Windsor.
“It is nice to have a company that focuses on fair trade and ethics.”
It comes years after the brand packed up its former store on Peascod Street, which was mere doors down.
On February 5 the brand made its intentions known by requesting to put up branding.
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have since approved the plans for the stores signage.
