On Friday thousands of children found out what secondary school they would be attending in September.
A total of 2,342 children applied for a secondary school place in Slough, with just 66 per cent of them getting into their first choice school.
The successful 1,547 students will transition into their new school later this year.
A further 12.63 per cent of applicants (296) got into their second-choice school and 6.1 per cent (143) were accepted into their third-choice.
A council spokesperson said: “We are delighted so many pupils got into their first choice school and other preferences.
"Every single child who applied was offered a place. We wish them all a successful time at secondary school.”
In the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, 95 per cent of children received one of their top three options.
Councillor Amy Tisi, Cabinet member for children’s services, education and Windsor, said: “This is an important day for many families with children moving up to secondary, middle or upper school in September 2024, and I’m pleased we’ve been able to offer 95 per cent of children a place at one of their top three preferred schools, the vast majority being offered their first choice.
"Our schools are rightly popular and I’d like to say thank you to our admissions team, who have done a great job processing more than 2,500 applications submitted last autumn."
Parents now have until Friday, March 15 to accept or decline the school offer.
