A teenage girl remains in hospital after they were attacked by a group of girls in Mortimer.
At around 5.45pm on Saturday, February 24, the teenager was assaulted in the Mortimer playing fields opposite the Horse and Groom Pub.
The group of girls kicked and punched the teenager before they dragged her by the hair.
A car then arrived at the scene where a young female passenger wearing a white dressing gown got out of the vehicle.
She then attacked the teenager before returning to the car and leaving the scene.
The victim has sustained GBH-level injuries which required hospital treatment, where she currently remains.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Izzy Denis, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident or who has dash-cam or phone footage from the area around the time that it happened, to please get in touch.
“Anyone with information about what happened can also make a report by calling 101 or via the website, quoting reference 43240088079.
“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through the charity’s website.”
