A Slough aspiring Olympian has taken home a gold medal from the British Shooting School Rifle Competition.
Anmol Bhargava, 13, lives in Farnham Common and started shooting just two years ago.
Last year Anmol took home Silver, but told the Observer: "I now want to win the gold."
On February 7, Anmol participated in the school championship organised by British Shooting at Cannock, where she participated in the 10-metre air rifle precision shooting - which is an Olympic sport.
Representing Beaconsfield High School for girls, she scored well in the knockout stages and maintained her lead to secure first place.
Anmol said: "Winning Gold was extra special as I'm now the National School Rifle Champion this year.
"I enjoy the sport and practice twice a week and I will be doing a lot more competitions this year."
Anmol aspires to be part of the UK Olympic squad and counts Ruth Mwandumba and Harley Raine among her role models.
Anmol's father Prashant Bhargava said: "We feel very pleased and proud of her as she is not just winning medals but at the same time making lot of good friends."
British Shooting run the competition annually and students from all over the country are invited to take part.
