An award-winning Windsor pub has just won a prestigious award.
Adam Handling’s The Loch and The Tyne was recently named as Estrella’s Sustainable Pub of the Year.
Mr Handling said: “I’m over the moon that The Loch & the Tyne has won The Estrella Damm Sustainable Pub of the Year award.
“British, sustainable luxury” has always been at the heart of everything we do here at the pub and we work so hard to be as sustainable as possible, so to receive this recognition really means the world.
“I have to thank my incredible team at the pub for everything they do to achieve that vision and especially my Co-Chef Proprietors, Steven Kerr and Jonny McNeil for being great leaders.
“I’m so proud of the whole team. I’d also like to congratulate everyone in the Top 50 Gastropubs list, it’s amazing to have so many wonderful pubs in this industry recognised.”
Mr Handling has many impressive awards under his belt, including Scottish Chef of the Year, British Culinary Federation’s Chef of the Year, Chef of the Year in the Food & Travel Awards.
He was the youngest person to be one of the Caterer’s ‘30 under 30 to watch’ in the 2013 Acorn Awards.
