Two new restaurants have joined the offering of businesses in Slough's town centre.

It comes as Slough BID is celebrating the "energetic and exceptional town" with a look back at 2023 and a peak at what is in store for 2024.

Slough BID manager, Clarissa Parker, said: "We are delighted to introduce Cien Forever Café located in The Village Shopping Centre which held its grand opening with Councillor Balwinder S Dhillon on Thursday, January 11.

"Cien Forever’s Halal menu offers a full range of traditional and international dishes distinctive and bespoke to the restaurant, together with an exceptional selection of speciality seafood dishes.

"Unique to the restaurant is the offering of rolled ice cream as a dessert option as a wonderful finale to your meal."

On February 24, Heritage Kitchen and Bar will also be opening a new restaurant at 80 High Street serving fresh and authentic African Caribbean Food.

With 2024 off to a flying start, Slough BID have looked back at 2023 and the 29 businesses that took up new units in the town.

Amongst these are Phat Buns and Xmart Phones & Repairs which both opened on December 23, 2023.

Plus X Innovation, New Vertex, Just Kids, Kebab and Pizza, Prism Hair, Heavenly Desserts and ABO Wind all also joined the town in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Last year also saw big-name phone brand O2 join the High Street, replacing the old Starbucks, while Iceland moved out of the Queensmere Shopping Centre and onto the High Street in June.
