The government is continuing to release updated flood alerts.
Here is a list of the severe alerts to be aware of in Berkshire:
River Lambourn from Donnington to Newbury
Property flooding is expected. River levels are very high and slowly rising on the River Lambourn as a result of a period of heavy rainfall and high groundwater.
River Kennet at Newbury
Flooding of property and roads is expected to continue today January 8 especially in the Newbury area.
River Thames at Goring and Streatley
Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but falling slowly on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall and water moving downstream.
River Thames at Pangbourne and Whitchurch
Flooding of low-lying land, roads and property is expected to continue today especially in the areas closest to the river.
River Thames at Purley Village
River levels are high but slowly falling on the River Thames as a result of recent heavy rainfall and water moving downstream. Flooding of low-lying land, roads and property is expected to continue especially in the River Gardens, Chestnut Grove, and Wintringham Way areas of Purley.
River Thames from Scours Lane, Reading to Caversham Lakes
Property flooding is expected. River levels are falling on the River Thames in the Reading and Caversham area following recent rainfall and water moving downstream.
River Thames in the Playhatch, Sonning and Sonning Eye area
River levels are falling on the River Thames in the Playhatch, Sonning and Sonning Eye areas as a result of recent heavy rainfall and water moving downstream.
River Kennet at the Burghfield, Southcote, Coley and Holybrook areas
Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but steady at Theale on the River Kennet following recent heavy rainfall.
River Loddon at Twyford, Charvil and Wargrave
Property flooding is expected. River levels are high, but falling, on the River Loddon. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Twyford area.
River Thames for Shiplake, Lower Shiplake and Wargrave
River levels remain high, but are beginning to fall, on the River Thames. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Shiplake, Lower Shiplake, and Wargrave areas.
River Thames for Henley, Remenham, and Medmenham
Property flooding is expected. River levels remain high, but are beginning to fall, on the River Thames.
Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Henley, Remenham and Medmenham areas.
River Thames at Hurley and Harleyford
River levels are steady, but remain high, on the River Thames. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Hurley and Harleyford areas.
Moorings and properties closest to the River Thames between Maidenhead, Windsor and Eton
Property flooding is expected. River levels remain high, but are beginning to fall, on the River Thames.
Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue, especially at moorings and properties closest to the River Thames in the Maidenhead, Windsor and Eton areas.
