Update: The search for Muriel has been called off after a body was located in Dorney

Police are appealing for the publics help to find a missing 68-year-old who is believed to be in the local area.

Muriel, from Slough, was last seen on Thursday morning (November 30) at around 5am.

Muriel is a black female, around 5ft 3ins tall and was last seen wearing a black, knee-length double-breasted quilted jacket with large black buttons down the front. She has a scar on her right cheek.

She does not have access to her own vehicle, but may be travelling using local buses.

Muriel has previously been to the Long Walk in Windsor and is currently believed to be in the Maidenhead area.

Thames Valley now have information to suggest she was seen travelling from Slough to Maidenhead on the A4 at around midday yesterday. 

Inspector Alex Kairouz, based at Slough police station, said: “Muriel has not been seen since early yesterday morning and given the cold weather, we’re becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“I am urging anybody who knows of Muriel’s whereabouts to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police by reporting sightings or information via our dedicated missing persons’ portal.

"We would also ask the public to please search sheds and outbuildings for Muriel, as she may have taken shelter.

“Alternatively, if you see Muriel, please call us on 999, quoting reference 43230539177.”
