Cycle park hub and pathway following the removal of the existing recycling units (RBWM app_ 23/02143/FULL)

Plans to replace an existing recycling facility with a cycle parking hub are set to be considered by a council committee next week.

The Windsor and Ascot Development Management Committee will deliberate the plans on December 7.

The site falls to the front of Windsor Leisure Centre on Stovell Road. Planning officers are recommending that planning permission be granted with conditions.

Their report reads: “The cycle hub would be set well back from the road frontage behind the existing grass verge and would replace the existing recycling facility and enclosure.

“The structure would not appear unduly prominent or obtrusive in this location and would have an acceptable impact on the character and appearance of the site itself and the locality in general.”

The building off Buckingham Avenue will see the installation of two metre high finials to provide the protection.
