The council have cordoned off old metal skatepark ramps after safety concerns.
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead announced on Friday, November 24 that old metal skatepark ramps at Kidwells skatepark in Maidenhead have been cordoned off.
Councillor Joshua Reynolds, Cabinet member for communities and leisure, said: “The metal ramps at Kidwells skatepark in Maidenhead have had lots of use over many years, however they can no longer be used safely, and are being cordoned off as a precaution."
However, the council have announced plans to replace the old structures with new equipment.
Cllr Reynolds added: "We have a plan to replace them, which will start soon with asking skaters about their ideas for the new replacement equipment, alongside exploring potential external funding opportunities.
"The concrete ramps at the skatepark remain fully open for use.
"Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
