A boxer from Slough has taken home the title of European Champion at just 21 years old.
Adam Azim faced off against Franck Petitjean on Saturday, November 18 in a win which has been dubbed "the biggest moment of Adam Azim's career to date" by Sky Sports.
It comes shortly after Azim spoke with this newspaper about having a difficult year after he "excelled" in 2022 with "great knockouts".
"This year it has been very tough for me, I had two hard oppositions and now I am fighting for a European title," he said.
Following the win Azim was quick to take to Instagram where he said: "European champion baby what an achievement to win the European title in just 10 fights, fastest person to do it in Britain at just 21 years old, one for the books.
"Massive shout to everyone that came out and supported me what an unbelievable night."
Looking to the future Azim has set his sights on an even bigger challenge.
"I want to become the youngest world champion. I'm still getting started," he said.
"I'm going to bring that world title back to Slough."
