A charity event which sees hundreds of Santa's run through Windsor's streets is set to return.
Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service is to host its 11th Santa Dash this November.
On Sunday, November 26, the popular festive 5km event will see an estimates 400 people dressed in Santa suits and merry outfits walking, jogging and running along the Long Walk and through Windsor town centre.
The event is in aid of helping raise vital funds for local children and families supported by Alexander Devine.
Tai Bishop, Lead for Corporate Partnerships at Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service said: “Seeing a vast sea of red Santa suits dashing down the Long Walk and through Windsor really is amazing to behold and just the perfect way to kickstart the festive season. It really has become an iconic tradition for Windsor."
Last year the event helped raised more than £25,000 for the charity - with organisers hoping to top last years total.
Lots of supporters have already signed up and the event, with the Windsor route being accessible for wheelchairs and prams.
For the second year, the headline sponsor of this year’s Santa Dash is Berkeley Group (Oxford & Chiltern). Their generous support means 100% of entry fees and additional funds raised by participants will directly help fund specialist care and vital support for local children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families.
