A sleepy neighbourhood was transformed into a film set last night as a hit Netflix show came to town.
Heartstopper, produced by See Saw Films exclusively for Netflix, filmed part of the upcoming series in Maidenhead where stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke spoke under a streetlight.
The coming-of-age romance follows two school boys, Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke) as they realise their friendship may be something more.
Now filming for its third series, it is understood the show will follow the characters as they go into their college years.
Film crews set up the scene on Woodhurst Road, with filming taking place from 6pm to 10pm on October 16.
Two cranes were erected, casting light on the street as the pair moved into position under a street light before moving off together in a scene which lasted approximately two minutes.
Crews had been clearing leaves prior to filming, with a producer confirming the scene being filmed was a summer night time shot.
Stop and go signalling was in place throughout the filming and residents were made aware in the weeks prior to film crews arriving.
More filming is set to continue in other locations throughout the week, before moving on to Windsor next month.
Heartstopper Season 3 is rumoured to be coming to Netflix in fall 2024.
Many local spots across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire have already featured in the show.
