A famous vintage steam fair used in the likes of Paddington 2 and Rocketman has announced it will be saying a final goodbye to fans this month - with many declaring it a great shame.
Carters Steam Fair undertook its final tour in October 2022, with owner Joby Carter stating the “crazy” travelling was unsustainable.
A year of searching for a permanent home and a new owner has since gone by and after a successful auction in July which saw gallopers signs and tractors sold, Joby announced on September 27 that the remaining fairground equipment would go to auction after a buyer for the collection was not found.

Responding to the recent news, Fankie Strange said: "This is so sad."

"Surely the lottery should support such heritage."
Lucy White agreed adding that it is "such a shame" and that the lottery should put money toward saving it similar to saving art galleries.
"End of an era, such a shame," said Amanda Collman.
"We went at the end of last year and [it was] one of the best evenings out ever."
Carters Steam Fair was first founded in 1977 and has toured Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Essex, Hertfordshire and many other areas up and down the country since.
Paul Edward Bradford said: "The youngsters of today will never see the likes again and enjoy the fun of the rides.
"This is our history/heritage being lost forever, what's in its place.... iPads, tablets etc."
Doriane Alba added: "Such a shame, my kids loved it every year but my youngest may not even remember these beautiful rides."
William Stokes said it would be a good idea if one of the theme parks bought it.
