Every summer towns and boroughs across the country put their gardening gloves on and polish off their shovels for the garden in bloom competitions.
This year Slough and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead held respective competitions to find the best gardens in the area.
Slough in Bloom returned for their 29th year, judging gardens and allotments in the area - with ten award categories up for grabs.
These include residential front gardens, community projects and best allotment plots.
Bruce Hicks, senior parks improvement officer, said: “Slough in Bloom has been working with new sponsors who have enabled this lovely competition to continue for its 29th year.
"We are pleased to be able to support the competition which helps to lift the spirits of people who live in and visit Slough by encouraging everyone to brighten the town with flowers.”
The awards ceremony for Slough in Bloom took place on Saturday, September 16.
All those who attended have been praised for doing a "great job in helping to beautify Slough".
In Windsor and Maidenhead, almost 300 residents were nominated for the Garden in Bloom competition/
Any garden visible from a footpath or road was eligible for entry and nominations were made by residents, passers-by and by councillors in their own wards.
The Mayor, Councillor Neil Knowles, said: “The amount of support and enthusiasm for this year’s competition has been really pleasing to see and this was reflected in the level of dedication all our entrants put into their gardens to make them look so beautiful."
