A 51-year-old man has been jailed for 14 years for the grooming of two underage girls over several years.
Gary Fenn, 51, previously of Tockley Road, Burnham appeared at Reading Crown Court on Friday, September 22 after pleading guilty at the same court on Wednesday, September 20.
The offences which Fenn pleaded guilty to occurred between October 2018 and December 2020.
These included four counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, 13 counts of causing a child to engage in penetrative sexual activity, one count of sexual communication with a child and one count of making indecent photographs of a child.
Fenn was arrested on December 31 2020 and was charged on December 17 2022.
He will also serve an additional eight years on an extended licence.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Alethea Cox, said: “Paedophiles are often stereotyped to be alienated members of our society but there are many that are calculating and charming, and worm their ways in to families to satisfy their own agenda.
“Fenn was one of these such men, whose grooming behaviour sought to manipulate anyone and everyone around him.”
Thames Valley Police have applauded the victims for their bravery in speaking up to bring Fenn to justice.
“Their actions will ultimately protect other children in society for many, many years to come,” Detective Constable Alethea Cox added.
“Anyone who has experienced sexual abuse should know they can speak to the police and feel confident that they will be listened to.
“I would like to reassure the public that we will always look to prosecute anyone who commits sexual offences against children, recent or non-recent. You will be supported, no matter what the passage of time, and we will bring offenders to justice.
“Anyone who wishes to speak to us can call 101 or make a report on our website.”
