AN inquest is being held into the death of a woman, 84, after she died one day after being discharged from the hospital.
Pamela Tyrrell died on July 14 at her home address in Monycrower Drive, Maidenhead after being sent home from the Royal Berkshire Hospital the day before.
She had been admitted on July 9 with abdominal pains and vomiting but was released a few days later.

Her daughter found her unresponsive at home and called the emergency services but she could not be resuscitated.
A medical cause of death has been offered after a post-mortem examination as acute bowel ischemia and obstruction and adhesions from previous bowel surgery.
A pre-inquest opening at Berkshire Coroner’s Court on Tuesday (September 19) heard that an inquest needs to take place due to being discharged from hospital a day prior.
Assistant coroner Ian Wade KC said: “Pamela was diagnosed to have a small bowel obstruction and was discharged on July 13.
“Unfortunately, a day later she was found by her daughter in her flat on the floor. As it follows so quickly from a discharge from hospital, it is a matter she should be investigated further.”
