Plans for a new market on Slough High Street outline how a street food family fun day will take place in the town.

In May, Slough BID applied for a street trading license to hold a market on Slough High Street.

Two months later in July, Slough Borough Council agreed to grant the street trading license.

Despite the application approving the market to operate 7am to 6pm every day with a maximum stall limit of 25, Slough BID has outlined how they will phase the market in.

Collaborating with Saunders Markets Limited (SML) which is a well-known and reputable market provider for London, Surrey, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, Slough BID hopes to bring Street Food Family Fun Day to the Town Centre twice a year.

The events will be for the community to enjoy, the first of which is just two months away.

On November 17, a Christmas-themed market will come to the High Street.

In December a market day will be held weekly, supporting multicultural food and drink vendors, along with specialist craft stalls aimed at enhancing the offerings to the High Street.

Managing director of Slough BID, Clarissa Parker said: "In 2024 Slough BID will focus on developing alternative pop-up markets offering a platform for local Start-Ups, creative groups to bring their product or service, artisan food stalls and specialist market theme stalls to the High Street.

"For any prospective participants, please do email market@sloughbid.co.uk and the BID will be in contact to discuss further opportunities."
