NEW homes, shop conversions and a new restaurant are just among some of the plans considered by Slough and Windsor councils this month.
In Slough, a charity shop is set to be converted into a restaurant, and a plan to convert a house into a home of multiple occupation (HMO) has been refused.
Meanwhile, in the Royal Borough, owners have applied to make changes to their homes, with one family applying for a wholesale replacement of their current house.

Charity shop conversion into restaurant approved (P/05572/001)
A plan to convert the Age Concern charity shop at 280 Farnham Road into a restaurant has been approved.
It now means the applicants can get to work changing the shopfront for the future restaurant, which will provide ‘a family friendly dining experience’ to customers.
The project also involves a kitchen extraction system, with the intention being for the restaurant to be open from 8am to 11.30pm each day.
Approved plans do not reveal the name of the restaurant, with the business owners expected to submit an advertising plan for signage at a later date.
Conversion of house into HMO refused (P/05193/003)
A plan to convert a terraced house into an HMO for seven people Slough has been refused.
The house, 17 Petersfield Avenue, currently has five bedrooms, with three on the first floor and two at roof level.
The applicant hoped to convert living space on the ground floor into two bedrooms and make the house a HMO for individuals using permitted development rights.
However, Slough Borough Council’s planning department refused the application as converting a house into a five person plus HMO is not covered by permitted development.
Plan for replacement home in exclusive area of Ascot (RBWM app 23/02067/FULL)
The owners of a house in an exclusive road in Ascot have applied to replace it with a new home.
The plan would see Greystones in St Mary’s Road replaced with a large new two-storey home with a roof.
Submitted floorplans show that the house would come with four double bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms.
Plan to divide house plot into two submitted (RBWM app 23/02075/FULL)
A house plot in a village between Slough and Windsor could be divided into two to provide two homes.
The owner of 27 Princes Close in Eton Wick has applied to build a large extension to the semi-detached house which would be used as a new three bedroom home.
The project would involve the demolition of an existing side extension, with the plot being arranged to provide three parking spaces.
