A Maidenhead bank has been forced to temporarily close due to a shortage of staff at the branch.
When attempting to use the banking services at the Lloyds Bank on Maidenhead High Street, customers were stopped by a sign reporting the closure due to an ‘incident’.
This caused confusion around town as to what was the cause of the sudden and unexpected closure.
On the notice, Lloyds has pointed people wishing to use services to their nearest location in High Wycombe.
A spokesperson from Lloyds Bank told the Observer: "Our Maidenhead branch is temporarily closed due to an unexpected shortage in staff. We're sorry for the inconvenience and customers can use our Buckingham Avenue, Slough branch, or the nearby Post Office, for their everyday banking."
