An unhappy resident has shared how he only receives his post weekly, with subscriptions and important post appearing to be delivered in bulk.
David Simpson, of Windsor Road, contacted the Observer about the issue with his post stating: "Here in central Slough, our road has had just one delivery of mail per week for the last two weeks.
"I wrote and complained to the delivery manager at the Slough sorting office, but have had no reply. I gather this is happening in other towns and is called 'clumping'.
"How come they are allowed to get away with this?"
The post issues had reportedly been going on since Easter.
David added: "A letter posted to me say on a Wednesday first class (costing £1.10) will not reach me until the following Wednesday.
"I also appreciate my weekly paper and magazine (on subscription) delivered on time."
The Observer contacted Royal Mail about the issues and was told that the local delivery office was experiencing a high level of absences and vacancies.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We are sorry the resident has experienced delays to their post.
"Actions have been put in place to help ensure when there is mail to be delivered it will be delivered on time.
“At the local delivery office, the service has been recently impacted by higher levels of sick absence than usual and vacancies.
"Every effort is being made to ensure any delays are kept to a minimum and recruitment is ongoing to help with the level of demand in the area.
"We are making deliveries six days a week, and if there is an occasion where a person does not receive their post on the day they expect they will always be prioritised the following day."
