Visitors to a local leisure centre have been left concerned after finding items taken from their lockers while using the facilities.
Braywick Leisure Centre near Maidenhead has seen two incidents of valuables being stolen from closed lockers.
It is understood that the leisure centre provides padlocks upon request with the aim of giving customers peace of mind that their belongings are safe.
However, on one occasion a visitor said their combination code padlock was broken into while they were away, with valuable items taken.
The Observer approached Braywick Leisure Centre who confirmed an incident had happened.
A spokesperson from Braywick Leisure Centre said: "We are aware of two lockers being broken into at around 3pm to 4.30pm on Thursday, August 10.
"The belongings from one of the lockers were subsequently recovered.
"Whilst this was an isolated incident, we are responding by increasing staff presence in the locker area and will also be extending CCTV coverage.
"We will also be reminding all customers to minimise risk by ensuring that lockers are always locked and that combinations are hard to guess."
