POLICE have arrested a man after receiving reports that he was armed with a knife approaching people in Slough.

People reported to the police seeing the man approaching people in Harvey Park and around that area.

Commenting on the incident, Thames Valley Police said: “Please be reassured that officers are carrying out a thorough investigation.

“There will be a high visibility police presence in the local area whilst our enquiries continue.

“At this time, it is not believed that anyone has been injured. If anyone has any information, please call 101 or make a report online quoting reference 806 of July 29.”
