A bank on Maidenhead High Street has announced its closure.
Halifax, located at 16-20 High Street has announced it will be closing this year as it looks to axe dozens of branches across the country.
In a branch report released by Halifax, it was found that only 83 customers regularly used the facilities.
A Halifax spokesperson said: "The world is becoming more digital than ever before and more of our customers are doing their everyday banking online.
"With more customers choosing to use digital ways to bank and manage their money, visits at this branch have fallen.
"As a result, we've made the difficult decision to close it."
The Maidenhead store is used largely by those aged over 55, making up 43 per cent of their customers.
However, rising bank closures have led to concern for the elderly, with many not having the ability to access their bank accounts and statements online.
Age UK has previously raised concern about rising bank closures, stating that "hundreds of thousands of older people" are being left without convenient access to basic banking services.
Halifax has stated that the area will be served by a community banker who will visit the area on select days to offer in-person support and advice.
The Halifax spokesperson added: "We’re still here to support you and there’s a number of ways you can do your everyday banking with us - online, on your mobile, over the phone or at a Post Office."
Those still wishing to bank in store have been advised that the closest Halifax banks are in Slough and High Wycombe.
The Maidenhead Halifax store will close on November 29.
It comes as nationally we are seeing a switch to online and mobile banking, with banks seeing less and less face-to-face interactions.
Around 400 banks have either closed or have said they are closing across the UK this year; including Barclays, Lloyds, Natwest and HSBC.
In Windsor, Barclays has announced its closure with its last day of trading set to be August 23.
HSBC is also to close their Windsor branch on August 22.
Over in Slough Lloyds is set to close their Buckingham Avenue branch on October 5.
