Those travelling by train in the area are being warned of train delays due to a points failure.
At 2:24pm today (July 8), National Rail reported a points failure causing delays between London Paddington, Heathrow and Slough.
A spokesperson for Network Rail said: "A points failure between Southall and Slough / Heathrow Terminals means trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.
"Disruption is expected until 5pm."
Routes affected by the points failure include:
- Elizabeth line between Abbey Wood and Maidenhead / Heathrow Terminal 4 / Reading
- Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads / Cheltenham Spa / Didcot Parkway / Hereford / Oxford / Penzance / Taunton
- Heathrow Express between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5
In the meantime, Network Rail is letting passengers use alternative routes.
These include London Buses in the Iver area and the Elizabeth line between London Paddington and Reading.
