SLOUGH residents are being invited to have their say about safety in the town as new survey is launched.

The survey, which will run until August 31, has been launched by Slough Council’s community safety team to find out about any concerns residents have.

The survey covers topics such as crime and disorder, anti-social behaviour, drugs and alcohol issues and how safe people feel in Slough.

The aim of this is to inform the priorities of the Safer Slough Partnership, which brings together partners from the police, council, probation service, fire service and others.

Lead member for Public Protection, I.T, Customer Service and Young Futures, Councillor Chandra Muvvala, said: “I’m really pleased to see residents and workers in the town are being asked to share their views. It’s important everyone fills in the survey as the people in each area may spot things we don’t know about and can raise their concerns.

“Having lots of feedback will enable the Safer Slough Partnership to develop and implement an action plan to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.”

This comes after a string of offences that have resulted in Section 60 stop and search orders coming into affect in Slough.
