THE girlfriend of a murder victim in Slough said he had been attacked in the same place prior to his death, a court has heard.

Kyron Lee was 21-years-old when he was knocked off his bike in Earls Lane on October 2 last year before being ‘chased’ and stabbed in Waterman Court.

Three men are currently on trial at Reading Crown Court charged with his murder -  Khalid Nur, 20, Fras Seedahmed, 18, of Slough, and Mohammed Elgamri, 18, of Windsor.

A fourth man, Yaqhub Mussa, 21, has already pleaded guilty.

At court on Tuesday (June 27), prosecutor Christopher Hewertson read out a written statement provided to police by Mr Lee’s girlfriend.

She said that Mr Lee had previously been attacked in Earls Lane but that it had never been reported to police.

The statement read: “We went to different schools so I didn’t know much about what went on but I knew enough that it wasn’t all good.

“Kyron told me about issues he was having with some Somalian boys. He just said the less I knew the better.

“He was attacked outside the Londis shop in Earls Lane. This wasn’t reported to the police but there should be medical records as Kyron went to the hospital.”

His girlfriend also recalled a time she wanted to visit a restaurant in High Street but Mr Lee was hesitant.

“They’re very territorial in Slough,” she said in the statement. “Kyron told me he couldn’t go there with me as people in the area didn’t like him.

“He said Slough High Street is a 'no go zone'. I got frustrated as Kyron never explained the reasons why.

“He just it was ‘OP’ – oppositional territory.”

In another prepared statement to police, Mr Lee’s older brother explained Mr Lee had been involved in drug dealing.

The statement read: “When we were at school, between years 8 and 10, we were typical teenagers, doing things we shouldn’t be doing.”

His brother added that there was a ‘rivalry’ between different groups of people in Slough.

He said: “These rivalries ultimately lead to me being kicked out of school when I got into a fight.

"When I came back to Slough to visit my mum, I became aware Kyron had started to hang out with the wrong people.”

Yakoub Tarafi, 18, is also on trial charged with assisting an offender post murder and Mohamed Abduelle, who the prosecution believe had a hand in planning the attack, has been charged but will stand trial separately.

The trial continues.
