The following cases were heard at Reading or Slough Magistrates’ Courts.

February 13:

MAX COOPEY, 22, of The Burlings, Ascot, pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing a Class B drug on February 21, 2020. He also pleaded guilty to failing to provide a sample for testing. He was made subject to electronic monitoring and will need to complete 12 months of mental health treatment. There is also 25 days of rehabilitation activity and a driving disqualification period of 36 months. There was also £100 in court costs.

LILLY BLACK, 37, of Chaple Street, Thatcham, pleaded guilty to stealing £45 worth of alcohol from Tesco in Church Street, Caversham on April 24, 2022. She was given a community order to complete 35 days of rehabilitation activity and £45 in compensation.

ARVDAS SPIEGIS, 32, of West End Lane, Bracknell, indicated guilty to possession of a Class B drug in Slough on July 10, 2021, drug driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance on the same day, and using fraudulently using a false number plate on the Ford Transit van he was driving. He was fined £600 and disqualified from driving for 16 months. There was also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.

MATTHEW CAIRNS, 30, of Cheviot Drive, Charvil, Reading, pleaded guilty to assault by beating on June 26 last year and damaging a door and window in Maidenhead to the value of £1,124. He was made to pay £1,200 in compensation and complete 80 hours of unpaid work. There is also 25 rehabilitation activity days, court costs of £85 and no order for a victim surcharge.

GEORGE THOMPSON, 22, of Lyon Road, Crowthorne, pleaded guilty to drug driving on September 8 last year in Winkfield. He was fined £650 and disqualified from driving for 14 months. There is also court costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £260.

OPROIU DANUT-FLORI-AN, 24, of Oxford, Kidlington, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Windsor on February 18 this year with namely 46ug per 100ml of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by three months and fined for £369. There was also a court cost of £85 and a victim surcharge of £148.

February 20:

JOSHUA BAILEY, 31, of Hawthorne Road, Bracknell, pleaded guilty to failing to attend/remain for an initial assessment for the presence of Class A drugs on December 7, 2022. He was ordered to abstain from alcohol for 120 days and be made subject to electronic monitoring. There was also 40 days of rehabilitation activity ordered.

KIERON YOUNG, 43, of Furnival Avenue, Slough, pleaded guilty to drug driving on January 13 last year in Bath Road. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £120. There was also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.

JADE RUSSELL, 34, of no fixed abode, indicated guilty to stealing £920 worth of men’s coats from Cotswold Outdoor in Reading on February 18 this year. She was jailed for eight weeks.

DANIEL ADAMS, 42, of South Street, Reading, indicated guilty to causing harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on June 5 last year. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay a court cost of £85.
