Two towns across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have featured on the 2023 ‘Most desirable to live’ list.
In new research commissioned by The Telegraph, towns were ranked using several key factors including state of health, cost of homes, the jobs people living there have and qualifications they hold.
The areas that were listed across Berkshire have at least one defining featuring which gives them the right to stand out.
This list was put together using data from the most recent census and conducted by Savills estate agents.
The two areas situated within the borough that have made their way onto the list are Windsor and Maidenhead.
Windsor
Home to some members of the Royal family and the iconic Windsor Castle, it is not surprising that this Berkshire town has scored a place on the list.
Residents have the benefit of gaining free access to the castle and time to enjoy the delights of Windsor Great Park.
The community vibe that comes with either having residence or business throughout the area is like none other – according to residents.
Maidenhead
The market town of Maidenhead is on the southwestern bank of the river Thames, with an estimated population of 70,374 people.
A thriving arts centre, excellent leisure facilities and a convenient commute into London and other destination make it so desirable in the eyes of residents.
Some celebrities have also chosen to make Maidenhead there home where they take advantage of the access to the River Thames.
