An inquest has been opened at Berkshire Coroner’s Court to determine the cause of Mr Power’s death.

Assistant coroner Alison McCormick opened the hearing on Tuesday (June 13). She said Mr Power had been living at a Holiday Inn in Church Street, Chalvey at the time of his death.

She said: “There was a crack pipe near to where Damian was found and it’s known Damian had made previous efforts to end his life.

“Drug paraphernalia was found in his room. There was also documentation relating to a divorce.”

A post-mortem examination was carried out which offered a medical cause of death as one of combination of the effects of cocaine and heroine as well as depression and anxiety.
