A popular local bank is to be shuttered as more closures are announced.
Lloyds, situated on Buckingham Avenue, has announced it is to close by the end of the year.
It will mean that the closest Lloyds bank for residents will be situated on Slough High Street.
The news comes as Barclays and Lloyds Banking Group, which includes Halifax and Bank of Scotland, announced a further 60 branch closures.
Last month rumours circulated about Barlcay's future within the Queensmere Observatory Shopping Centre, however, a spokesperson for the bank has confirmed the bank does not have plans to close.
A Barclays spokesperson, said: “We have no plans for Barclays Slough branch in the Queensmere Shopping Centre to close this week.
"We remain open for business and will continue to serve our customers as usual.
"If this should change in the future, we will notify our customers in the appropriate way.”
However, the Windsor Barclays bank, located on Windsor High Street, will be shutting as of August 23.
Two months later on October 5, Lloyds on Buckingham Avenue, Slough, will close.
