A shopping parade and a car showroom could be transformed into housing under new plans submitted to Slough Borough Council.
Mackenzie Homes have revealed plans to redevelop part of Bath Road, Slough.
The proposed site includes the vacant hoarded land, Thrifty car showroom and a shopping parade that lies to the east of the Halfords store.
Under the plans, the brownfield site will be transformed into 291 homes.
The two to 14 storey accommodation would come complete with 203 car parking spaces in a car park under the building.
Of the 291 homes, 29 (nine per cent) will be studios and 136 (47 per cent) will be one-bedroom apartments.
The rest of the property will consist of two and three-bedroom apartments.
Mackenzie Homes state that the aim of the proposed plans is to: "Meet growing demand for urban living in Slough, as well as delivering improvements to public realm, enhanced landscaping and connections to the Cippenham Recreation Ground from Bath Road.
"The ambition is to create a new, sustainable neighbourhood and a catalyst for the wider regeneration along Bath Road."
The £100million pound investment also boasts "improved pedestrian links" and "landscaping".
In the plans, it is outlined that a minimum of five per cent of the residential units will have wheelchair access.
Around 300 local construction jobs would be created should plans go ahead.
