A "small and nurturing" school has been awarded a new Ofsted rating following its first inspection since the pandemic.
Burchetts Green CE Infant School, located on Burchetts Green, Maidenhead, was inspected by Ofsted on March 29 and 30.
Ofsted awarded the school "outstanding" in all categories.
In a report, Ofsted recognised that children attending the school had a "flying start" to education.
"Children are highly motivated," Ofsted reported. "They excel both academically and socially."
Pupils were seen "bubbling with excitement" when discussing school activities and showed "exemplary behaviour".
The 48 four to seven-year-olds in the schools care are "kind, caring, play well with each other and make sure everyone feels included in their games".
Parents are confident that an adult will intervene quickly and effectively should children disagree.
The school offers a "vast range of clubs and activities" and pupils leave the infant school "confident, inquisitive and ready for their next steps in education".
Leaders have designed a "highly ambitious curriculum" for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Ofsted has recognised the staff's ability to identify and help children who require additional help, adding that "highly personalised support" is given to ensure pupils needs are met.
Pupils are taught in "highly engaging" ways, with an "infectious" buzz of learning, which is regularly checked and assessed by teachers.
There is an importance placed on vocabulary, numeracy and reading
Safeguarding at the school is effective and staff receive regular safeguarding training.
"All staff know how and when to report safeguarding concerns," Ofsted reported.
Meanwhile: "Pupils learn how to keep themselves safe in different environments. For example, they learn river and road safety and how to keep safe online."
Burchetts Green CE Infant School headteacher Mr Rob Harris said: "I am so proud of the team and delighted that their hard work has been recognised by Ofsted.
"This report is a testament to the dedication of everyone who makes Burchetts Green Infant School so special - the teachers, the support staff, the governors and of course our amazing children.
"We work hard as a team to ensure that every child receives the best school experience.
"As a team, we are passionate about providing a rich well-rounded curriculum, meeting the needs of all children and building on their passions and interests.
"We were delighted that the inspectors recognised our work on personal development and creating an inclusive environment for all our pupils. We have no ceilings for our children and believe they can achieve anything with the right guidance and support."
