A boy has been arrested after being found with a gun in a public park.

On Sunday, May 7 Thames Valley Police received reports of a person in possession of a firearm in Kidwells Park, Maidenhead shortly after 3pm.

Armed police officers were sent to the scene where they located a ball-bearing gun.

A 13-year-old boy from Maidenhead was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm.

He has since been released on bail until 4 August.
