1. Thousands gather in Slough to Sikh festival of Vaisakhi
The Sikh community came together in Slough yesterday (April 23) to celebrate the festival of Vaisakhi.
Hundreds of Slough residents are predicted to have taken part in the annual colourful procession from Sheehy Way to Woodlands Avenue.
Slough MP Tan Dhesi said: "Despite the rain, amazing to see thousands out for Vaisakhi to mark creation of the Khalsa.

2. Maidenhead's Nicholson Quarter plans to be reviewed by High Court
Planning permission for a multi-million-pound redevelopment of the Nicholsons shopping centre in Maidenhead is set to be reviewed by the High Court.
Owners of the Smokey’s Nightclub in Nicholsons Lane have confirmed to the Local Democracy Reporting Service that their judicial review request has been granted by Mrs Justice Lang DBE.
This will mean the High Court will review planning consent given to the developer Denhead S.A.R.L, joint venture between regeneration specialist Areli and investment group Tikehau Capital, which was approved unanimously in March 2021 by the then Royal Borough development management panel.

3. Slough kidnap and rape trial: Men found GUILTY on 5 counts
Two men have been found guilty of kidnapping a woman and raping her in a car park in Slough after threatening to inject her with heroin.
Kasra Esmaelie and Aziz Nasser, both 25, were on trial at Reading Crown Court faced with five counts between them of rape, sexual assault and assault by beating after the incident on September 3, 2021.
On Monday (April 24), the pair were found guilty of all five counts. Both were charged on count one and two of rape, Nasser was charged with count three of sexual assault and count four of assault by beating, and Esmaelie was charged with count five of assault by beating.

4. Oasis star Noel Gallagher describes 'nightmare' Slough driving lesson
A rock icon has divulged his Slough driving experience that made him vow to 'never ever get in a car again.
Oasis star Noel Gallagher rose to fame in 1991 with the release of the band's debut album 'Live Demonstration'.
In his early 20s, Noel had yet to achieve his driving license so set out on his first - and only - driving lesson in Slough.

5. Boy, 16, 'forced into car' and kidnapped by men in Mini
A group of men 'shouted aggressively' at a 16-year-old boy before forcing him into a car.
At around 4pm on Saturday, April 15, the boy was walking along Warwick Avenue when he was approached by four men in a black Mini.
Three men exited the car and shouted aggressively at the boy, forcing him into the vehicle.
