A rock icon has divulged his Slough driving experience that made him vow to 'never ever get in a car again.
Oasis star Noel Gallagher rose to fame in 1991 with the release of the band's debut album 'Live Demonstration'.
In his early 20s, Noel had yet to achieve his driving license so set out on his first - and only - driving lesson in Slough.
Noel told BBC Radio 2 about his experience in an interview on Thursday, April 20.
He recounts the driving lesson with a female instructor in the 90s.
He said: "I was driving around a housing estate in Slough and she said to me 'And if you just indicate and pull over here.
"I pulled over and she got out of the car and she said 'I'll be back in a minute'
"She came out with her mum. She drove me to her house," he explained.
Noel recounts his shock at the driving instructor's mother pulling out a 'snappy snaps' camera in a time before mobile phones to snap a picture of the then-rising star.
The situation only got worse when the local comprehensive bell went and children rushed out.
"And I'm in a red Nissan Micra with a massive great big triangle on the top, with an 'L' as all these kids are coming out," he continued. "At the height of Oasis mania."
Noel said the experience made him 'never ever want to get in a car again'.
