THE jury is due to retire soon in a trial where two men have been accused of kidnapping a woman and raping her in a car park in Slough after threatening to inject her with heroin.

Kasra Esmaelie and Aziz Nasser, both 25, are on trial at Reading Crown Court faced with five counts between them of rape, sexual assault and assault by beating after the alleged incident on September 3, 2021.

The trial started on Thursday last week (April 13) where the court heard the pair had been given a woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, a lift home from London where she had been visiting some friends when the alleged incident happened in Upton Court Car Park.

Prosecutor Paul Fairley said both defendants had sexually assaulted the woman in the back of a car after threatening to inject her with heroin.

Today (April 20), the jury heard the final speeches made by legal counsel in the trial with the exception of Nasser who is representing himself and made his own speech.

In his speech, Mr Fairley said: “It’s not easy to label someone a rapist which you would do with a guilty plea – it’s not an easy thing to do.

“All I ask you to do is to not allow any emotions to creep in.”
