A man has been jailed for rape after a 'lengthy investigation'.
Montell Moore, aged 27, of HMP Bristol, pleaded guilty of two counts of rape at Reading Magistrates Court on January 20.
On May 12, 2014, Moore and the victim, a woman, were at a property on Hythe End Road, Wraysbury.
Moore kissed the victim but she pulled away. Moore then grabbed the victim and raped her twice.
Moore was charged via postal requisition on October 5, 2022.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Alexandra Beever said: “For the sake of the victim, I am pleased that Moore has been brought to justice.
“I’d like to thank the victim for her support throughout this investigation and her bravery for reporting it to police.
“The victim decided to report the rape after hearing the offender had been convicted of a more recent offence.
“A lengthy investigation followed, which was made more difficult by Covid, but we persevered and achieved justice for her.
“So, if you or someone you know has been affected by similar offences please consider reporting the matter to police, no matter the length of time that has passed, as it will be taken seriously and we will work tirelessly to bring offenders to before the courts.”
Moore was sentenced to six years in prison at Reading Crown Court on Friday, April 14.
