MASKED raiders have pulled off a £5million heist at a high-security warehouse in Slough Trading Estate.
Early on Wednesday morning, police were notified of the terrifying robbery where staff on site were threatened before the intruders made away with cash.
It has now been confirmed that vans from the Pivotal Cash Management company were the target of the attack.
A report by The Mirror states how masked robbers entered the cash depot by strapping themselves to the undercarriage of a lorry. They then waited till 5:20am to strike when delivery vans were 'stuffed with money' ahead of the morning runs to banks and ATMs
The report goes on to say how workers at the Slough Trading Estate were 'threatened' and 'bound' with cable ties by the gang who made off with £5million.
Nobody was hurt during the incident.
The offenders left in two vehicles and are described as wearing bulky clothing and masks with head torches.
A spokesperson for the Pivotal Group said: “We can confirm that an incident took place at our Slough facility early on Wednesday morning.
“Our greatest concern is for our employees and whilst none suffered physical injury, we are working to support their well-being.
“Police were immediately notified and we will continue to assist the authorities during the investigation.”
Thames Valley Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit are investigating the robbery.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this robbery to please come forward.
“While I understand this may be alarming, there is no evidence of any wider threat to the public.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area while we investigate and anyone with concerns should speak to a uniformed officer.
