Drivers on the M25 were warned of long queues near Heathrow today after a 'serious' collision last night.
Traffic near Heathrow was affected today after a lorry collided with two cars around 11.30pm yesterday (March 27).
The M25 clockwise remained closed into the noon due to accident investigation work from J14 A3113 Airport Way (Heathrow) to J15 M4, traffic alert service INRIX warned.
There was congestion to J13 A30 Staines with queues either side towards Old Windsor and Ashford.
Average speed in the area was 5 mph during the morning rush hour.
Drivers were told to follow hollow triangle diversion signs to take the A3113 from the roundabout towards Heathrow, then left towards Colnbrook, the A4 west towards Slough, and the M4 back to the M25.
Update: All lanes are now OPEN on the #M25 clockwise between J14 to J15 (#M4) following an earlier collision.
