A 17-year-old boxer from Slough has returned from the English Boxing National Youth Championships as a cadet champion following 10 years of dedication and training.
Zakariyya Khan was one of Lucky Gloves School of Boxing first members at the tender age of seven and has gone from strength to strength.
On his journey to the championships, he has shared the ring with competitors and opposition from across England and the UK.
Eddie Richardson, Head Coach Lucky Gloves School of Boxing said: “Zakariyya epitomises hard work and dedication to the sport of boxing.
“Zakariyya never allowed the past disappointments to faze him on the contrary he used them to his advantage. One of Zakariyya biggest attributes is his willingness to learn.
“He is a great example to others at the club. It has been an absolute joy seeing Zakariyya journey from a novice to now national champion.”
