Here are the five Slough and Windsor stories you may have missed last week.
1. Over 30 cars damaged after metal ramp falls from lorry
An incident on the M4 left over 30 motorists with punctures after a lorry shed its load.
On Wednesday, March 8 at around 9pm National Highways reported traffic had stopped between J5 for Slough and J4B for the M25.
Upon attending the scene emergency services and traffic officers found that a metal ramp had fallen from a lorry.

2. Cinema fire could have been catastrophic says judge as pair jailed
A pair of former Slough cinema employees have been jailed after a conspiracy to set fire to their workplace, endangering up to 150 people.
Gufran Ahmed, 27, and Noor Fatima, 24, both of Slough, pleaded guilty and were found guilty respectively of plotting to set fire to the Empire Cinema at the Queensmere Shopping Centre in December 2019.
Reading Crown Court heard that the pair had poured petrol outside one of the cinema screens and were intending to set light to it in a ‘revenge’ plot against their employers.

3. Buzz Bingo Slough announces closure of Bath Road site
A popular Bingo hall which has served the Slough community for multiple years has today announced it is set to close for good.
Buzz Bingo is to close nine of its 91 clubs due to the "ongoing and challenging operating environment".
The Slough club operates from on Bath Road in what was once the Adelphi Theatre, which saw performers such as The Beatles take the stage in its heyday.

4. Claires Court Boys School: Firearms incident sees teachers 'shot at'
Armed police have stormed a quiet residential road after teachers of a local school were "shot at" from a neighbouring house.
Thames Valley Police said officers were called at 6:15pm on Wednesday, March 8, to a report of a firearms incident at Claires Court Senior Boys School in Ray Mill Road East Maidenhead.
Officers said teachers had been shot at by 'an air rifle or similar'.

5. Windsor Castle: First look at what busy road will look like
Images have revealed what a busy road that leads to Windsor Castle will soon look like as pedestrianisation works move closer.
The first phase of public realm improvements in Castle Hill and St Alban’s Street in Windsor Town Centre is set to begin from Monday, March 13, which sees wider pavements and vehicular gates.
This is in a bid to improve the visitor experience to this area of town, helping to drive economic growth and spend, as well as provide additional safety benefits.
