One of SAS: Who Dares Wins' 2023 contestants opened up about the sexual assault he experienced at the age of 17.
Zac who is part of the most recent batch of contestants told the trainers that part of the reason he struggles to sit still and not talk back is that he was "lost from an early age" and doesn't "know who he is."
When he was 17, he was sexually assaulted and did not bring it up to his family because "they were going through enough already."
When he understood what happened to him, he was "empty", Zac revealed.
Before joining the show, the head chef from north Devon admitted he can be outspoken and demanding.
He added that he was joining the show to “conquer his inner demons and unlock my full potential?"
SAS: Who Dares Wins Viewers show support for Zachariah
Viewers took to social media to support Zac with one user writing on Twitter: "Jesus, wasn’t expecting him to say he was sexually assaulted. It’s brave of him to admit that on tv, there’s still a lot of stigma about a man that’s sexually assaulted by another man.
"Sadly sexual violence stays with you forever, sitting at the back of your mind."
