A local Karting venue has launched a permanent discount for those working in the emergency services and armed forces.

Known as the 'blue light discount' Absolutely Karting in Maidenhead will provide service personnel with a reduced rate.

All those who hold a Blue Light Card will receive 15 per cent off their karting experience.

The card can be used by personnel working in the emergency services, NHS, social care sector and armed forces, and offers members a wide range of discounts.

Centre Manager at Absolutely Karting Maidenhead, Matt Schofield commented: “The festive and New Year period is often a time that is busier than usual for emergency workers.

"Launching the exclusive discount now is our way of showing appreciation and saying thanks to frontline workers for providing essential services that save lives and protect us every day.

"We look forward to welcoming anyone that carries a Blue Light Card to the track for some downtime.”

A valid Blue Light Card must be shown upon arrival.
