Christmas may be over but there are still plenty of festive things to do before we jump into the new year.

Here is a list of three events and activities to keep you busy.

Alexandra Devine Christmas Light Trail

Alexandra Devine Children's Hospice has put together a map of Berkshire homes that have lit up this Christmas.

Hop in the car, crank up the Christmas music and go on a Christmas light tour.

Not all of Berkshire's best and brightest are on the map, so keep your eyes peeled.

The Lexicon's magical Snowflake Trail

A walking Snowflake Trail around Bracknell town centre will keep you busy searching for snowflakes created by local children.

Pick up a trail leaflet from XX retailers, the leaflet stands within Princess Square and the welcome hall on The Avenue or download a leaflet here.

Completed forms, including the survey on the reverse side, can be posted into the burgandy post box outside YiFang on The Avenue, for your chance to win a prize.

Four lucky winners will be selected, with the prizes up for grabs being a children's birthday party in 2023 at Gymfinity in Princess Square and three family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) at Cineworld.

The Snowflake Trail finishes on January 4 and the winners will be announced the week commencing January 9, 2023.

Snowman Trail

Englefield Estate is hosting its Snowman Trail for the second year in a row.

Visitors can search the grounds for 18 decorated wooden snowmen, each having been designed by the local Beaver and Brownie groups.

The trail will close from January 5, 2023.

Entrance is free to children and £5 per adult.

Changing of the guard

Head down to Windsor and watch the changing of the guard ceremony.

This week visitors can watch the ceremony on December 27, 29 and 31 at 11am.

While in Windsor, why not check out the high streets' Christmas lights or wander down the long walk or into Windsor Great Park.

If you don't fancy leaving the house, here are a few things you could do at home

  • Build a blanket fort
  • Cook or bake something - get creative, you could put the Christmas leftovers to good use
  • Make paper chains, snowflakes or try your hand at Origami with leftover wrapping paper
