A new movie set in Windsor and starring some famous faces is set to premiere this week.
Quintessentially British has been described as a 'valentine to everything great and British...with a few twists in the tale'.
Partly shot at the Theatre Royal Windsor as well as in and around the town, the film boasts cast members such as Ian McKellen, Judi Dench, comedian Tom Allen, The Speaker Lindsay Hoyle, Lady Carnarvon, Max Hastings and ex-footballer Jermaine Jenas.
Film-maker Frank Mannion said: "I am excited to premiere the film in Windsor, the true spiritual home of the Monarchy for hundreds of years."
Shot over a 12-month period, Mannion said: "Audiences can expect a fun fast-paced film that looks at Britishness in the year of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee."
The movie will unveil some royal secrets such as what the Queen's handbag positioning meant and what the iconic red Telephone boxes were modelled after.
Premiering at the Old Court Cinema in Windsor on Friday, December 9 at 7:15pm, cast members and the filmmaker will be in attendance.
Members of the public are also invited with tickets costing £10 available for purchase here.
The film will then be available to wider audiences from December 12 in select cinemas and streaming platforms.
