A SPATE of closures has left owners of a Slough retail park 'reviewing options' after four big brands shut up shop in the past two years.
Bath Road Retail Park, which is managed by Royal London Asset Management, has left Slough residents wondering about what will happen to the area's retail offering.
Many have taken to social media, with speculation that the retail park will be redeveloped.
Now home to seven big brands, the retail park stands with four out of its 11 shop units empty.
Next, New Look, Boots, B&Q, Carpetright, Tapi Carpets, and McDonalds remain in the retail park, following Argos vacating the 10,000sq ft shop unit.
Having been bought out by Sainsbury's, Argos closed its store on the Bath Road this summer.
Furniture Village was lost to the neighbouring shopping district Slough Retail Park, with the relocation having taken place in March this year.
Mothercare closed all 79 UK stores in 2020, with the store remaining vacant since then.
While the pandemic put the last nail in the coffin of Sir Philip Green's Arcadia empire, which saw the Outfit store close in 2021, taking with it Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridges, Burton, Wallis and Topshop.
The Observer reached out to the retail park to find out what the future plans for the site are.
A Royal London Asset Management spokesperson said: “We are in the early stages of reviewing options for the site and a decision has not yet been reached.”
